Phytoplankton by
George Patterson
Foster & Smith have some small feather dusters listed. They're not in stock at
the moment, so I left instructions to notify me when they get some in. The
description states that these guys eat phytoplankton. Anyone have a URL for a
source of this?

Smallest HQI lights for nano reef by
Pszemol
I am thinking about 5-10 gallon nano-reef tank
but I would like to use HQI or Metal Halide lights.
Smallest I have seen would be 75W bulbs - they
seem to be too strong for a 16" long 5 gallons tank.
Have you seen anything smaller than this on the market?
Or nano-reef is destined to use power...

Moving a Reef Tank by
hawgdawg
Moving across town. 70g reef, live rock, a few fish and corals. Live sand
bed. I've moved tanks in the past with no live sand and plenty of rock and
re-established them without a noticeable cycling. Just put everything back
in the tank and it was ok. With the sand bed (and all the poisons...

Booger flicking by
Pat
In keeping with the "I don't want to ruin his post" philosophy.
Nope, I don't see. I took advice from trusted people with ideas that
make sense. Not from complete boobs that vomit words with no evidence
at all, other than "Try it, it'll work".
I don't expect that the OP should believe what I...

Phosphate reactor question by
George Patterson
Does anyone know of a reason why a phosphate reactor could not be used
completely submerged? I'm thinking of hooking one up directly to a powerhead and
dropping it in the trash can I use to mix up water for water changes. That way
the phosphates will never get into my tank in the first...

Floating Foam by
StringerBell
hi,
My skimmer is producing foam and brownish/greenish liquid in the cup.
However, occasionally I get some little Islands of foam floating on the
surface of my tank.
I have a Remora Skimmer---should I adjust it in some way?
thanks again--------------------

Small hang on skimmer by
RubenD
I recently replace some lighting on my 46g bowfront tank, leaving me no
space for my Red Sea Prizm skimmer.
My two options are a sump/overflow setup which I discard to avoid kids
temptations( sump on floor level with easy access=swimming toys) ,the second
was a non expensive skimmer small enough...

Just ordered stock from Vivid Aquariums. They had decent prices and the shipping
cost is reasonable at ~$30. They use DHL for shipping, and they're fast and
prompt. I ordered a fighting conch, two skunk cleaners, two firefish, two

Low Ph and an airstone..... by
[email protected]
I everyone, I'm new here and I do plan on adding all my tank info in
the next topic but for now I just want to know why an airstone is
recommended in a reef tank to raise the PH but I've so far never seen a
pic of a tank with bubbles in the background. I have problems with my
PH and have read...

Reef sumps by ESHOPPS by
Pszemol
Anybody here using reef sumps made by ESHOPPS ?
Here is the link: http://www.eshopps.com/reefsump.php
I saw them yesterday in a local pet store, they
are quite expensive: RS-200 is about $200...
I was wondering if they are good and if they can
be purchased somewhere online little bit cheaper.

Is my Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 Working? by
sclark
I am setting up my first tank. I found a used Aqua Medic Turboflotor
1000 with a Rio 2100 on ebay (one needle on the impeller is broken).
When I set it up, it creates pea sized bubbles in the chamber, though
not so many as to make it difficult to see though the chamber. At the
LFS, I saw some other...
