Green water--- UV needed ??????? by
Iain
Hi
Whenever I do a water change, the water that I remove always has a hint of
green.
I've been using carbon/phosphate removers on and off, but this doesn't seem
to get rid of the green.
My rocks turn green as layers of green particles seem to settle on them.

Zeolite by Korrallin by
Simon O'Keeffe
What's the opinion of the group on this method of reefing.
There are a few Aussies doing the zeolite thing now and it appears to be
going well for them so far.
I used PO4- a few years ago by these guys and I'd imagine that the
nitrogen reducing side is similar with the nutrients being bound to...

Blind Clarkii ? by
Kevin
I have a Clarkii which I bought around February. He's
roughly 2-2.5 inches long now. He looks as healthy as
ever but in the past several days he seems as though he's
in a stupor of some sort. Almost to the point of acting as
though he is blind.
All my water tests are right on. During feeding time...

Green algae forming by
Iain
Hi
Can anyone help
I've been plagued for some time now by green algae forming on the glass. I
know you cannot get away from cleaning the glass, but this is just too much.
It also seems to settle on the rocks, and after a period of time the rocks
turn a deep matt green and start growing grass. ...

Replaced CC with Southdown DSB - 4 to 5 in deep enough? by
Dieter Kedrowitsch
This is my second post in a week. :) Earlier I posted on the fact
that I just setup my 75 gal tank with the intent of slowly growing it
into a reef. A coworker of mine is very successful with two very nice
SW tanks and instructed me to use fine (very fine) crushed coral for
my substrate. Two...

Anemone split into 3 - is this "normal"? by
Greg Hewitt-Long
I had an anemone - I bought it as a ritteri, but it might be another
species. Anyway - it split last night, which I understand is
something that can be used as a reproductive method by anemones - my
questions is:
If an anemone splits, and splits into 3 - is this "normal"?
Here is a picture of...

Has anyone out there tried one of these things?
It is much cheaper than a Turbelle but only if it doesn't require frequent
repairs.

Florida Yellow Cucumber by
Pszemol
I purchased a yellow sea cucumber yesterday. I hoped it would dig
itself into the deep sand, but it did not. It crawled on the
macroalgae instead. Is that normal for them? I was told in the LFS that
they come from Florida. They have that crown of small,
sand-sifting suckers, but mine does not like...
