Feeding Question by
MakitaSalesRep
I have a 90 gallon setup that has about 100 pounds of live rock with a typical
sump system ( with G1 skimmer inside ). I have a 2 bubble tip anenomes, a
feather duster and a frog spawn coral.
My concern is that I am really not sure how much food I should be feeding the
fish. Here is a list of the...

Soundproofing the sump cabinet??? by
RedCrown
Looking for advice on soundproofing a 75 gallon marine reef aquarium.
My wife is the newbie fish freak, I'm just the plumber. I've searched
every bulletin board and Internet site I can find and know about
different pumps and plumbing configurations, including the "Durso
Standpipe." I've taken all...

Custom Sump/Refugium for 150-gallon tank by
reefkeeper
Custom Sump/Refugium Diagram and Gallery.
I really like the refugium since it has really helped with the nuisance
algae control in the display tank:

Hi guys :) by
Marc Levenson
I was away visiting family out of state, but see there are 286 new message to
peruse in the near future. I'll fit it in as time permits.
From what I can tell, my reef tanks did just fine for the duration. :)

Thanks for the reply Boomer.
I'm using LaMotte CAL & Alk kits.
I tested yesterday and my CAL was 425
and my Alk was around 6.5.
6.5 mEq/l or 6.5 dH ?

Sump for a 29 gallon by
news
Would the effects of a sump on a 29 gallon be worth the investment?
Just so I understand it right. The tanks has a steady current that flows to
the sump and the sump pumps water back in to the tank. This allows for
evaporated water to be added to the sump instead of the tank and also it
increase...

Top down photography by
Marc Levenson
I built a special topdown photo box for Travis (TS on ReefCentral.com) today.
I'd post a picture of it, but he already has it! :D Anyway, it is similar to a
specimen box like the LFS use to hang a fish on the front of the tank.
However, all the walls are made of black acrylic, with only the base...

Tank pad concerns by
Mark Breithaupt
We recently set-up our 55 gal. acrylic w/ 70 #'s LR.
We placed a 5/8 piece of polystyrene, cut to the dimensions of the tank,
underneath to distribute the weight. Our knee wall top has a slight bow
(about 1/16-1/8") from end to end of tank.
Problem is one corner of the tank rest slightly above the...

Can't get good alkalinity levels by
Reef Man
Hi,
I´ve been fighting hair algae for a year. I tried everything, then i
found my KH was too low (4,5 dkh) and calcium too high (550).
I tried to put things right. So i stopped adding kalk and started
dosing Seachem's Reefbuilder.
I had to dose lots of this product to reach 8 dkh, but, when i...

Algae help needed by
Broken
I'm starting a new 30 gal. marine fish only tank (only 2 small damsels, and
a piece of synthetic coral in there now) and going through the cycle, which
is almost complete. Amonia,
nitrites and PH (8.2) are all stable. I have done a 20% and then 50% water
change to no avail. In the last week out of...

soft corals and anenomes.
