Some LR questions by
Marco Qualizza
To cure, or not to cure?
Given that I'll have the time to cure LR, is there any benefit to
getting uncured LR over cured (for a brand new tank)? I vaguely
remember reading that uncured LR will give you a wider variety of
critters, but I could be wrong.
LiveRock vs DeadRock
Considering that I'll...

40g breeder on 30g regular stand? by
richard reynolds
your floor is going to get wet. a glass tank is supported only by the rim.
an acrylic tank has to have full bottom support. either way, you can't do
it.
is it a breeder or a long, while everything charlie said is true, breeder
tanks are generally better on interesting setups, if you browse...

most of the links people provide, yes, Marc, I have read your pages also,
they are probably the most informative.
For my first try at a marine tank, I am buying a 29 gallon "established"
~minireef from someone. In the tank...

Green Brain comes back from the dead by
TW
Last year I bought a green brain coral for my reef. It never did well
in my tank and over a period of months slowly died. In the end there
was no green 'flesh' left. At the time I was re- organizing my LR. I
used the brain as a piece of rubble at the back of my tank away from the
lights. It...

DIY Lighting website? by
Joe V.
I've been researching on making my FO tank into a reef, and one of the items
I know I have to improve is the lighting. Are there any good do-it-yourself
sites? I went to the store, and was shocked at the price tag on the lighting
that I liked ...
Any advice/info would be appreciated.
Thanks in...

AquaC Remora or Remora Pro Protein Skimmer by
Glenn Serpas
I have a 75 gallon aquarium with 60lbs of live rock. I'm looking to replace
my junky Sea Clone protein skimmer. Since I do not have a sump I'll have to
continue to use a hang on skimmer.
I've done some research and the Aqua C Remora seems to be a very efficient
skimmer and it's reasonably priced...

What exactly quantifies "strong lighting"? by
Brian McCarty
I was wondering what the limit is for me on growing corals and maybe an
anemone or two. I have purchased a PC from Coralife Aqualight 260 watts -
2x Actinic and 2x 10,000K lights. This lighting setup is for a 55 gallon
aquarium. Thanks in advance for all your input folks.

Question about sand/ crushed coral by
Brian McCarty
Hi, just thought of another question. In my 55 G. tank, I placed 30 lbs. of
crushed coral substrate. I now would like to add live sand to this. Is
there any problem with placing 30 lbs.(possible more for a DSB) of live sand
directly ontop of the crushed coral? I'd like to find an answer to...
