Ms. TNT
I woke up this morning and my Jack was breathing heavy. I recently
cleaned its tank, changed filters and added new gravel. I was told at
the store that I shouldn't have completely changed the tank. I have
had this fish for about 4 years now and have always totally cleaned
the tank but it has never...

Jack Dempsey (Fresh water or Salt water fish) by
Ms. TNT
I added salt to my water. I was told at the store this would be good
for my Jack. Is this a fresh water or a salt water fish? Should I
remove the salt? I never had salt in it before.

exterior water filter). The tank is now being cycled with a small tetra
population (6 black neons, 6 serpae). I'd appreciate...

Cichlids again by
Amelia
5 yrs ago I had 3 55 gal tanks and a 75 gal tank with cichlids in them (red
devil, Oscar, Jack Dempsey). I enjoyed the fish so much. But due to life
getting in the way I ended up selling/giving away my tanks and fish. I've
regretted ever since not just somehow putting the tanks in storage or...

Emperor Caligula
I used to come here a bunch when I was running Mid-South Cichlids, and
this room used to rock. Everyone out of the hobby? Where is everyone?
Off of usenet I suppose. I know there are other cichlid forums, I
frequent them from time to time as well. I got out of the hobby a few
yrs myself, and as...

I can explain my situation some, so that I can get some advice from
"the pros".
I'm not sure which chichlid that I would like to get (JD, Tiger Oscar,
etc.) as I...

Urgent response required by
From Raw to Roar
I have an African peacock cichlid that all of a sudden is swimming upside
down. It ties to go upright but ends up tail up and upside down.
What is the problem and how do I cure the situation.
I have been told to put Epsom salts into the water, will this help?
