new pond by
mikeana816
Hello All,
I just wanted to say thanks to all the (non-troll) posters of this group. I
have been lurking here for several months. The amount of information you've
made available is very helpful and impressive. I used it to guide me in
building my first pond. It is small by most of your...

2nd year ponder help needed by
Rick
I am a 2nd year ponder. Last year I had a 6 foot round about 3 feet deep
pond. I simply fell in love with the whole thing. I did fight the string
algae all year but overall I loved it. I have six gold fish and three Koi
and about 15 little minnows that my kids got out of the local creek. My...

Sudden water loss by
Phyllis and Jim Hurley
The other night, Phyllis and I came back to find the pond down by
4"...out of 24". The loss was at a rate of 1/2" per hour...that is
about 50 gallons in our pond.
Needless to say, we shut down the pump and the berm ponds and waited to
see what drained. Nothing did! We kicked things in one at a...

dead pump by
news group
Well, "it" finally happened. One of my pumps died. It was Little Giant
(now a big piece of junk). I am going to replace it with an external
pump. Any suggestions? I am leaning toward a "Power Plus Pump". Seems
to have great head and flow rate and small amp draw. This will be a new
experience...

Fish swells up by
mack
I have heard of a parasite which makes the fish appear very fat to attract a
bird to take it - I think one of my gold fish has this parasite. Please tell
me (a) Is this true? (b) Is there a cure? (c) What is the best thing to do?
I live in the UK. A Heron has cleared my pond out and I am left with...
