Q about getting donated plants by
Trina
Hi All,
I have a question in regards to the 'safeness' of donated plants from
suspect tanks.
I work with someone who offered to give me some java ferns. I'm not
usually one to pass up something free, but last year when I was at
this person's house, I saw the tank. It pretty much reflected...

marine tank growth on my live rock by
shogun415
Hey all, I recently moved my aquarium to my new apartment, and I notice a
new kind of organism which has emerged from one of my pieces of live rock.
It is a white milky cocoon looking deal with some denseness in the base of
the cocoon attached to the live rock. It is white with stuff in the...

Bent Nenon Tetra by
[email protected]
I have a pair of Neon Tetras in my tank for about 6 months. They have
both grown considerably and they appear to be healthy except for one
of them seems to be "bent" behind his belly. Its body does not run
straight anymore. Right behind its belly the body has a distinct bend
that goes out and...

Fish breeding by

Any idea the best/if any way to breed neon tetras. They are my
favourite fish and I was wondering how I could make the ones I have,
have babies. Any ideas would be great.

Figure eight puffer by
Howard Kim
I would like to survey salinities used to keep figure eights from
those who were successful in keeping them at least over a year. I know
they can be kept in either freshwater and brackishwater but would like
to determine the optimum salinity range in home aquarium settings. I
have had them without...

Battling ICK on clown loach by
Computer Prog
My 10G tank has been home to 2 small clown loaches, 2 guppies, and 2
neons for about 6 months now. I got tired of scraping algae off the
inside of the tank every few weeks so I bought a very small Pleco.
The tank looked great for about a week and then I started to see ick
on the 2 clowns on...

Does someone know if these two products from eshalabs may be combined?
Esha 2000 = trypaflavin
I think hexamita contains metronidazole.

ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer? by
J.
Anyone have any experience with the ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer?
Also, what exactly does a UV sterilizer do? I heard they work great for
killing bacteria, but they also destroy certain additives like calcium and
iodine. Are they recommended for salt water aquariums with live rock/sand,
corel, and fish?
