Hazy Water - Help! by
Scott
I am running a 33 gallon tank with three goldfish (one red cap oranda & two
black moors). The filter is part of a 'Marineland Eclipse 3' hood, and
yesterday I added a Fluval 3+ filter to provide extra filtration. In both
filters, I have high filtration polyester 'pads' and there is a...

Filter opinions? by
Dan Norgard
Does anyone have an opinion of the Emporer 280 vs the Magnum HOT system?
The filter that came with my 29g is getting tired and I think a new one,
perhaps with a bio-wheel sounds good.
Thanks,
Dan

Eddie
Hi,

Below is the filter media that I currently use :

Second layer : Active Carbon
Last layer : Bio - Foam
Is my arrangement correct and what is the proper sequence of layer?

Can 3' Feet Tank support this? by
Tasslehoff
As much as you can fit into the tank without throwing it in and preferrably
not V shaped, probably safer to have flat bottomed rocks for the mass to be
evernly distributed on the tank bottom. I think you missed a newsgroup in
your post.

Driftwood from Manzanita by
Dan Norgard
Hi;
Has anyone made Driftwood from Manzanita or Oak roots? I have boiled them
six times and still get quite a bit of color in the water. Are they toxic
and am I wasting my time?
Thanks,
Dan

LFS owners, please read........... by
Mike Petro
I have been keeping fish for 30 years now. During this entire time my
LFS (local fish store) has always accepted trade-ins of fish that were
either incompatible, too large, etc as long as they were healthy
specimens. This has been assumed and expected because how else do you
humanely deal with...

My girlfriend has a Beta, purchased in March. About a week ago he
began acting oddly. According to her, he goes frantic whenever
someone comes near, swimming madly about. I've seen an example, and
he does get a little frantic. She says that last week he was covered
in some white misty...
