CurrentUSA Satellite Light Cooling Fan Noise by
dc
I recently purchased a Dual Satellite power compact fluorescent light by
CurrentUSA. I'm very happy with the light output, but I am rather
disappointed with the amount of noise the cooling fan generates. Does
anyone know if it is possible to replace the fan with a quieter one, and
where one could...

UV bulb not glowing by
dgee
Simply put: Is it possible that some UV bulbs (specifically the 9W 2PIN
CF-like model that fits a Jebo UV-H9 sterilizer) do not emit any light
when under tension? I know that UV light is invisible to the naked eye,
but I would expect some blue glow at the beginning of the UV spectrum.
I recently...

Rowaphos by
Dv
Will rowaphos help clear cloudy water in a freshwater tropical tank? Tanks
have been set up for 12 months or more, water quality is spot on but they
still have a sort of bloom to the water.

Does the female lay the eggs then the male fertilise them or are they
fertilised then the female lays them in an area she likes?

endlers Halfbeaks by
Dv
Endlers:OK, I know they are a form of guppy, but can they be successfully
kept in a community tank?
Also, if kept in a tank containing just mollies, would they interbreed?
Half beaks (Celebes) How can you tell when the female is pregnant?
Thank you

guppies by
[email protected]
Hi, My name is Fallon and i have a male and female guppy. I noticed
today that the male would swim near the female and "poke" her. But now,
he swims away from her as if he wants nothing to do with her. Does this
mean he impregnated her? or did he lose interest?
Thanx
-Fallon

dap on treatment by
KevnBev
Apologies for cross posting - I'm in the UK so appreciate info from both
sides of the pond.
What would you recommend to treat minor injuries, scrapes etc? I have loads
of different water treatments but sometimes it seems more stressful to
isolate a fish that's only got a minor wound. I'd like to...

The female Cherry barb died today....the symptoms were different from before
(my news server has deleted the post so I couldn't follow up on that one).
For new readers we have now lost 8 out of the 9 fish in the 15gall tank for
no determinable reason. I thought that it was a stuck heater and very...

Snail advice by
Meghan Young
Hello everyone,
I am looking for some advice. I have dwarf puffers and I need to feed them
snails. The local pet store will give me some from their system but they
are getting frustrated with me since I'm back every week.
It doesn't seem to matter how many I put in their tank, my puffers eat...

foods, I was hoping someone could tell me. The internet was less than
helpful.

Suggestions for getting rid of unwanted fish sought by
John Thomas
I have a few male fancy guppies and zebrafish that I bought as feeder
fish that have made it to adulthood. Their constant mating behavior is
stressing out the other residents of the tank(s).
Here's some ideas I've thought of and have shot down:
Idea: Get another tank!
Comment: That's just not...
