Default Rowaphos

Will rowaphos help clear cloudy water in a freshwater tropical tank? Tanks
have been set up for 12 months or more, water quality is spot on but they
still have a sort of bloom to the water.

Only if the problem is caused by phosphates or silicates. g Not
likely, IMO. I'd be more apt to think it an algal bloom of some sort.
What kind of lighting? Make sure they're not in the sunlight. Some
aquarists actually advocate sunlight in an aquarium, I am not among
them. While we strive to make out tanks LOOK natural, they are NOT
natural, and should not be thought of as being so.
It may be caused by a high concentration of bacteria in the
water. Uneaten fish food or fish waste in the water provides
nourishment for bacteria that are floating in the water, and feeding
on the waste in the water. This could be the result of overfeeding,
lack of proper filtration, or inadequete water changes.

Did you really wash the gravel before adding it to the tank,
and wash again, and again, and again,
What size is the tank, and what type of filter do you have.
Do you vacuum the gravel, when you do water changes. ??
