assembling tank by
Dan Norgard
I did it and there was no problem...it was quite easy. The 100g tank has
been running for months and has been as good as 'store-bought'. Just make
sure to use Aquarium Silicone (get it from a glass shop, it's cheaper) and
some strips of good tape to hold it together until it cures. Cure it...

Green Hair Algae by
rtk
I've followed CapFusion's suggestions, mostly feeding more. I can see
green and red in the sand bed and a few strands in -of all places- the
lip of the powerhead's outlet. There are also some green spots on the
magnet, but that's it. Early on, I was assured by I don't remember who
that by 8...

Skimmer time by
reefman MC
I need an in sump skimmer with a foot print of about 5"by5" for a 75
gallon reef. Is there such a thing? I've got a pro clear aquatics
wet/dry thats been running skimmerless for a long time, and I would
like to be able to feed corals more often without worrying about my
water parameters. The reason...

Hard Corals by
Mark Hulst
I am having a heck of a time keeping my Hard Corals living. My soft corals
are doing great but I just had a Moon Coral die and my Brain Coral is coming
off of it's skeleton. I have 10,000 watts of lighting and everyone says that
is plenty..anyone have any ideas why these corals are dying?

unidentified critter... by
Michelle Leonard
I found a small creature ne'erbefore seen in my tank. Was hoping you might
be able to help me identify. Could not get a decent photo.
it is rather the shape of a tear drop and resembles a "sowbug" -- flat on
the bottom, rounded on top, with antennae out the front. It moved pretty
quickly along...

Electric "T-Valve" by
wikitwch-UCS7RU3P-99CEYGWF-J7C4WMK5
I want to replace my "T connector" between my Iwaki 100 pump and the
two bulkheads with a "T-Valve" that is connected to a power source
(110 AC, or DC if need be). I just want to alternate the flow of water
returning to the tank. I have looked at the Squid type (non powered)
units, but they are to...

250 watt SE or DE? by
Darrin O'Bryan
I have been doing my research on which lighting setup to buy, but I'm having
trouble with which type of bulb to go with. I will be getting a 65 gallon
tank (36x18x24) and plan on going with only 1 250w MH with CF actinic
supplement. I am going to have only a few SPS, LPS, fish, and possibly...

Possible odd question. by
skozzy
A while ago I wanted to setup a pond outside, but after playing with reef
setups and salt water I am thinking of the idea of making an outside salt
water tank, but not the usualy glass type, I was thinking of making a wooden
frame about 3 meters x 3 meters and about 1 meter high then sealing it...

Protein Skimmer ETSS EVOLUTION 500 - Is it working correctly? eas by
EdinPlanoTX
I have a 215 reef, sand substr, t-5 lights (Sunlight Supply Tek T-5 Lights,
8 X 36" X 39W I LOVE THEM).
Using ETSS Protein skimmer EVOLUTION 500 driven by RIO 3100
The effluent that ends up in the collections jug is pretty 'clean' and
light, and the volume is low.
I'm convinced the flow rate is...

confused Clown fish by

This morning when I woke up, I took a look at my tank and saw my two baby
Clown fish swimming within the feathers of a Hawaiian Feather Duster. It
looked like Clown fish rubbing against a BTA. Is this normal?

FNG question. Sorta. by
Mike S.
I have a friend that is looking to buy a sal****er aquarium (fish only). He
asked me questions 'cause I have a 29g fresh tank setup in my LR. Weelll,
to make a long story short, I've got the reef bug again. The last time I
had it I was in college. Please don't ask how long ago!

I love this hobby! by
Marc Levenson
Last night, I picked up a tank raised True Percula from Gary. It was chased out
of his display by some mean clowns, and was living in his sump. Very small in
size, I think this is part of Andy's first brood of clownfish.
I added it to my 29g late last night after lights were out, and after a...

Ammonia by
Mort
What is the point where ammonia is really dangerous for inverts?
I lost an anemone and it caused a mini cycle.
My ammonia was at .25ppm. I removed the body and did a 25% water change.
Ammonia is about .15ppm now. (maybe a smidge higher)
Will my inverts be able to endure this mini cycle or do...
