Scale replacement
Hi GF fans,
I have been looking more closely at my fish now that I have a few moments where I'm not working on the tank. While looking at my larger fish, Sharky, I noticed that he/she is missing several scales. Some on each side. I know this can't be a good thing, and I was wondering if those scales will grow back, fill in with growth of the other scales, or remain for life. Anyone with insight on this situation, please let me know. -- With all due respect Kevin |
Scale replacement
Disregard this post. I found the answer using a search. The scales may grow
back, provided the cuticle is sound. The new scales may have a different color. And if the scales don't grow back, the fish will likely be ok anyway. Guess you guys have covered every question out there at some point. -- With all due respect Kevin |
