Default Scale replacement

Hi GF fans,
I have been looking more closely at my fish now that I have a few moments
where I'm not working on the tank. While looking at my larger fish,
Sharky, I noticed that he/she is missing several scales. Some on each
side. I know this can't be a good thing, and I was wondering if those
scales will grow back, fill in with growth of the other scales, or remain
for life. Anyone with insight on this situation, please let me know.

Default Scale replacement

Disregard this post. I found the answer using a search. The scales may grow
back, provided the cuticle is sound. The new scales may have a different
color. And if the scales don't grow back, the fish will likely be ok anyway.
Guess you guys have covered every question out there at some point.
