You mention nitrites and nitrates, but not ammonia levels in your water.
Would really be worth testing for this as it could be what is causing all
your problems.

Sorry, I mean to say that aquasafe only neutralises chlorine and chloramine
which is good but wont help with ammonia or nitrites which shouldn't be
present in a healthy tank set up. I bet if you...

You really need to test your water then as I'd put money on the fact that
it's this which is causing the problem. Buy a kit or take it to your local
aquatic store and ask them to test it for you....

Poor water quality is almost certainly responsible for your fish's
condition. Have you tested for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? You dont say
how big your tank is but for one goldfish you should...

The very first thing to do is to check your water quality. What are your
ammonia, nitrite , nitrate and PH levels?
Also what size tank are the fish in? Should be pretty big if you have 15
goldfish...
