I've also been told that my betta won't need a heater - I already had
one and knew they did anyway.

The other thing that pet stores tell all the customers, is that fish
need about 1cubic cm of water surrounding them, so you can fit heaps
into a small tank, just like the approximate number you see jammed into
the ones at the pet store!
