I've got a Copadichromis borleyi fandango male in a 30 gallon long with
a few clown loaches, a female pink convict, and a small pleco. I know, what am I thinking, but they really get along. It's amazing how peaceful the tank is. The convict and boreyli swim together and the loaches are always out. I know how big the loaches and pleco get but they're small and slow growing. The boreyli is beautiful, about 4 1/2 inches, and I intend to keep him as he grows. I will thin out the herd and reduce the number of rocks to optimize his need for space as needed. Will doing this be enough or will he simply grow too large for a 30 gallon long? Thanks, George |

Thanks, George It's my opinion that when he gets closer to the six inch mark and fills out, you'll find that 30 gallons just isn't enough space for him. I would consider a 75 gallon the minimum tank for this fish. If you really like the Copadichromis species, I'd consider a trio of Copadichromis azureus as being more suitable for a thirty gallon tank. Tim |

Thanks, I've got some time before he gets that large. I'll look into
the azureus. George. |
