Don't feed them, they will be fine.
Put the light on a timer if it isn't already... "Martin Sorensen[2840]" wrote in message . .. "Jay" wrote in message ... I am leaving on vacation thursday morning and returning tuesday evening. I have three electric yellow labids and my neighbor who was going to feed them had to go on a business trip and won't be back before I return. Leave the fish. They are not harmed at all by a few days without food. We have left our fish up to 2 weeks, with all of them surviving happily. The main exception is very young fish, but they have to be _very_ young to be troubled by 5 days. Also means that the missing water change is less of a problem. Would one of those weekend feeder tablets be enough to hold them off or is there something else I should get? No, keep that cr** out of your tank. Also, what should I do about the light? Should I just leave it on? Off? We ususally do, as our tank is planted. Good trip, Martin |
