Crab & shubunkin OK?

Hi,

I received (a father's dy gift) a small crab, body about 1inch, brown with red
claws. He's now in my 20 g tank with my 2 inch shu. They seem to be leaving
each other alone. Any opinions or suggestions would be welcome, especially
food for the crab. Thanks!

Hikari do crab food I think.

I am assuming its a freshwater crab. (Is there such a thing?)

If its a marine animals it aint gonna go with a shubunkin.

Water types etc asside I dont know that area for crabs etc

I do however have 2 freshwater yabbies (crayfish) in a tank with 4 goldfish
(comets) and one baby Koi Cod.
All seem to get along fine although the 2 yabbies from time to time have
show downs.

Then a crustation grows they stop eating for up to a week prior to loosing
their shell, they split the shell and climb out. They have a new shell under
neath and it takes about 1 week for it to completely harden.

not a good combination. anything might disturb the slime coat of GF can lead to
disease. Ingrid
