Default Very Large Acropora

Hi, I am doing research at my university and was wondering if anyone
knew where I could find a very large acropora specimen in which I could
frag 50-70, 1.0-2.0 inch pieces? I have contacted many companies little
or no success. PRICE IS NOT AN ISSUE.

Why? They aren't going to have something like that.

Perhaps you have a suggestion instead of a retort? I wasn't able to
find any online sellers with specimens that large, so I simply kept
to myself.

Well, that what came up at the moment. Do you have any suggestion that you
can provide?

University or any institution do have some kind of resources that they can
use to obtain what they need. If that resource is not apply to the need,
they can post a public bid or similar that will get plenty of information
later as response come in. That how my University does it while I am
attending at that time.

This is a listing of biological supply houses. You might try calling
them and asking if they can procure a specimin for you.

If this is for research purposes, why don't you contact other
universities in areas with tropicals reefs (i.e. University of Hawaii)
and with marine biology departments, who may be able to assist you in
collecting a wild organism. I am sure there would be permits to get
up the wazoo, but if it is for legitimate research purposes, they
probably could be obtained.
