Hi all ...
For the past 4 years, I have had a 60g show tank with 2 Eclipse hoods. I've been toying with the idea of adding a canister filter to the mix. Would it be ok to add a canister filter in addition to the wet/dry system already in place via the Eclipse hoods? Can there ever be too much filtration? g Thanks! |

I'd really really like crystal clear water, and I've never had it for an extended period of time with the filtration provided by the Eclipse hoods. I only have a total of 5 fish (1 Oscar, 1 Bala Shark, 3 Clown Loaches)so it's not an over population issue. Water tests fine. Any suggestions on what I can do? You sound like a prime candidate for a diatom filter--this will give you the crystal clear water you crave. They are a bit pricey, but really, really work. -coelacanth |

The fish seem more active and hungrier too after i use it. I have heard NOT to run them full time though because they filter too much out the of water and clog easily. lonerider |
