Default my Oscar jumped out of the tank, now bleeding from the gills

Please help. My Oscar jumped out of his tank. I dont know how long he was out.
he wasnt moving when I got home. but I put him back in. His gills started
moving again, and his eyes will follow me but they are hazy. sits on the
bottom of the tank half on his side and half on his belly. He will swim if I
make him. Now he is bleeding from his gills. I have tested the tank. All
readings are good PH 7.0
AMN.0.0 NIT. 0.0 water temp is 80*F. I added some stress coat, What elese
can I do??

Pray. But I'm afraid it will be bye bye oscar. I've had a couple fish do
this, and exhibit the same behavior as you are. They died within 24 hours
of being back in the tank. I hope I'm wrong in your case though.

ChristyLynn is right, you have done most everything you can do.
Consider adding more Stress coat and about 1 tablesponn salt
(non-iodized) per 5 gallons, this will help pull fluids thru your
Oscars body, stimulating his slime coat. This has worked on occasion.

Ok tanks you guys!!! So far it has been 24 + hrs. and he seems to be fine now.
back to swiming around on his own and constantly wanting to eat. I added
stress coat and some Melafix to his tank and then bumped up the temp a bit. I
went and made him swim a bit about every 20 to 30 min. And now he appears to
be ok. Thank you, all. I love my Oscar.........

Uhm, no one mentioned that you probably want to take measures now to
prevent your oscar (or any other fish you have) from ever being able to
jump out of the tank again.

Someone should also mention that you should now take measures to
guarantee that this kind of thing never happens again. Cover the top
of your tank!

Good luck with your oscar. I'm _SO_ glad that your oscar is doing well
right now.
