Finally a good article on Bettas in Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine.
(Koi-Lo...please read it.

Post the article here. I don't get that magazine anymore.

Did you not see the part of about not arguing the points koi-lo, and
that it will only show your ignorance of proper Betta
husbandry....aparently not, as you just did it again. LOL

Read for yourself:
tfhmagazine.com

After reading it, you should no more arguments.
Oh...and the comment how your Bettas never read it...how ridiculous.
Maybe I'll start posting how Goldies are just fine to be kept in a
gallon bowl...
We all know it's not true, but hey..people do it every day.
Just stop arguing. Even when given the proper care in black and white,
you STILL argue it. How stupid!

I checked their website and they still have the June issue up. When
clicking "next month's Issue" it doesn't come up yet.
However, walk into a shop and pick the darn thing up. Pg 86 of the
September issue.
Again, don't bother arguing.
Also, I have NO ignorance when it comes to Bettas. That's quite
obvious.
I also refuse to keep them in horrible conditions such as those tiny,
room temp bowls.
Please stop comparing how a breeder keeps their Bettas. You cannot
compare that situation with a permanent home. The growing fish are in
small quarters for short periods of time (few months) compared to
years.
You're being silly when you try to compare the two.
They are two completely different situations.
