i guess this group has pretty much shut down then? no answers? anyways,
in case any one does answer, i've changed my mind and i'm going for a Jack Dempsey tank, with the hopes of getting a breeding pair. I know i will need at least 6 in order to find a pair, but coudl any one else give me any tips or info on JD's? I'm looking at getting a 55-72g, and originally i was thinking of getting balas and oscars, but now i'm thinking of maybe a cichlid only tank. I definately want at least one oscar, but i don't want just one fish all by it self in there so what other fish couldi put in there? i heard somewhere that a jack dempsey could be a good tankmate, but i heard they are extremely territorial fish, convicts were other fish i have wanted to put in my 29g, but someone said they would terrorize the 5 gouramis i have there, so maybe those could go in with oscars? there's somebody who lives nearby who's convicts keep breeding and is selling baby's at $0.50 ea. |
