The header says it all; Should it be once a day; everyother day? How often should you feed the fish? To some extent, it depends on the fish. Carnivores can handle being fed erratically, but every two days is a good schedule. Larger (upwards of 3") omnivores can easily handle being fed once a day. Morning is best, since that gives them all day to "graze" on the leftovers. Small fish prefer two or three feedings a day. One can usually set up some arrangement which allows vegetarian fish to eat all day. At present, the piscine population of my tank consists of small omnivores. They get fed twice a day; occasionally thrice. George Patterson If you torture the data long enough, eventually it will confess to anything. |
