When I got home from my recent business trip (1 week in Japan) and had the
energy to look at the fish in detail I noticed that Hoshi has a couple of visible blood vessels in his caudal fin. Hoshi is a sarasa comet, about 5" long, all white except for an orange spot on his forehead. His activity and appetite seem to be good. I tested the water: pH 8, Ammonia 0 ppm, Nitrite 0 ppm, Nitrate 20 ppm. Normal or cause for concern? -- David L. Burkhead "Dum Vivimus Vivamus" "While we live, let us live."
