I have a Royal Grama that about a month ago had what looked like several clear
rigid filaments sticking out of its chin and eye. This cleared up. About 3 days ago it returned on the left corner of its mouth then it disappeared again and now it is on the opposite corner. I'd show a pic but it isn't visible and my photographer pal doesn't have a macro lens so we can get a good shot. This stuff reminds me of FW fungus but I read that marine fungus is characterized by a darkening of color and a sandpaper look to the afflicted area. Also these things are clear as I said and although they are closely nearby one another, they are not in clumps nor are they flowing or flexible like a string of fungus. Any ideas anyone? None of the other 7 fish have this. Also, the fish occasionally scratches but is otherwise healthy looking and eating well. TIA. --M333 |
