Try separating them (that is, out of sight of each other) for 24-48 hours,
then re-introduce her to Sparky's tank (with protection of course).

Why is betta love so complicated?

Will putting a piece of paper between the tanks be fine? Because I don't have any more space to move a tank to... I'm only allowed to keep fish in my bedroom, and unless I start stacking tanks...
I've already set up the growing tank, and if I need more room, I'll give away some of my fish.

Yeah....a peice of paper will be fine....one thing that i have been

I used a piece of paper, and put it up that night, March 2, last Tuesday.
Poor Sparky was so depressed. He moped around his tank, stopped blowing bubbles, and looked at me. The look was so pathetic...
Sunday morning, I removed the paper. Sparky took one look, flared out as much as he could, and zoomed in circles showing off. He was sooooo happy! He built the biggest nest I've ever seen him make, constantly working on it between laps around the tank.
She has been kinda excited too. So hopefully Tuesday I'll introduce them (again!) with protection.
I'll keep everyone updated!
