Time will solve the problem. The koi mill stay down forever. The frog must
come up for air. The koi will not wait to be used for a ride again. Jim "Cheryl" wrote in message . uk... Hi Just been out to feed the fish and noticed that my large koi has a frog attached to his head! I have tried to get it off the fish but seems to be clinging on for dear life. The poor fish seems to be trying to flick him off and seems uncomfortable as the frog seems to be clinging on my the fish's eyes (ouch)! Has anyone else had a similar problem and know whats is the best solution. ie leave it alone or keep trying to get it off Many thanks Cheryl |

Oh, my goodness!!
Frogs have drowned their lady friends by such behaviour. You were able to catch the fish? I wonder if you could hold it underwater and force the frog off to get a breath of air. Not sure what would cause the fish more stress though, poor thing. Hopefully someone will chime in with some exerience. If you do get the frog off I'd transport him away from your pond to a natural waterway as he seems to be a tad bit confused. Maybe he'll try it next with a bass and end up as lunch instead! kathy |

I guess that would be suffocate, not drown. Good luck getting him off and out of there. Let's us know what happens. ~ jan ~Power to the Porg, Flow On!~ |
