It will fail. It may be possible to restore the thing, but I wouldn't bet
on it. (Especially as I don't know this particular make of electrode.) A
web search will turn up documents on pH electrode care and restoration,
but it's better not to have to restore.

Fish supply places generally sell Electrode Soak solutions, which can be
better than pH 7 buffer, which can tend to get moldy. But they're a bit
pricey considering that in all probability they're just 4-molar potassium
chloride solution.
