remember, silicone doesn't stick to cured silicone This isn't entirely true. I've sucessfully patched small leaks in a tank by covering the outside of the leak with silicone. I had to be a bit gratuitous with the silicone - so it didn't look professional or anything. But that's a hell of a lot better than a leaky tank! Have the leaky area be dry, however, is very important. Water will prevent the silicone from curing. -- Ross Vandegrift "The good Christian should beware of mathematicians, and all those who make empty prophecies. The danger already exists that the mathematicians have made a covenant with the devil to darken the spirit and to confine man in the bonds of Hell." --St. Augustine, De Genesi ad Litteram, Book II, xviii, 37 |
