I posted last week that my porcupine puffer had gone off food and Igot no
response on how to entice him to eat. I talked to a respected LFS owner yesterday (20+ years with salt water). He said that a tank raised porcupine will reach 6 - 8" and then quit eating and ultimately die. He said there seems to be something lacking as they grow up in the tank. He said the valutian lion aslo has this same problem. He went on to say that if you get a porcupine or lion that is 6-8" when it is wild caught it will continue to grow and thrive in captivity. He said he has seen this happen several times. Dave Young |

Sorry I missed your earlier post, and hope they can help
you. They love this species, and seem very willing to help others succeed. Be sure to let us know what worked, if things go well. Or even let us know what didn't, so we can learn from it.
