Hi Peter,

I thought Nessie had gotten you.

How did you know about my Mother-in-law's summer job :-)

I've spent most of the winter tinkering with the fish tanks (more pumps,
more filters, not enough UV's ), but that's me started ponding again.

I have a Laguna 1500 at the moment. Pond is about 500 gallons and nine GF.
The main problem seems to be Algae and silt.

I'm using a Cyprio Titan 2000 and most of the silt etc stays in the pump
cage, though my bioforce 2200 needs cleaned more often now, so maybe it's
time for new sponges ?

Peter

I just set up a Betta tank in the office. I'm hoping to give the indoor GF
an auto water changer, once they go to the cottage (Pond).

Yes, mine needs a tune up kit, sponges and O-Ring. I'm toying with the idea
of a flower pot (skippy) filter instead. But the pot I bought seems rather
flimsy, I can see it cracking under the weight of the water.

Your Cyprio filter is much larger, likely explains the reduced cleaning.

Peter
