I've been doing a bit of research on which heater to get for my new 55G
tank. It seems like Ebo-Jager heaters are very highly recommended, however, I believe they still use a bi-metal strip to control the temp. So I started looking a little at solid state heaters, like Tronic. I'm wondering if anyone knows of other heaters that are solid state or Triac controlled? Since I really would prefer to get a solid state heater, I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on which one to get if there is more than just Tronic. If Tronic is the only one, are they good? Should I get it over a Ebo-Jager? I'm also looking for recommendations on wat . I'm gonna be using 100W substrate heating cables in the tank, so the heater will only be a backup when the room temp gets low and the substrate cables can't keep up. The coldest our living room ever gets is around 65F or 18C during winter when we're not home. Also, what wat hould I get for my 5G quarantine tank?
