Where is the skimmer going?
The first container with the corner tower, whatever the height of that tower is, make sure your PVC is 1" below it so that the airbubbles can't just travel across the top. Other than that, you are on track. I noticed a post stated the base needed to be thicker. I don't have any reason to believe that to be true. I do recommend a sheet of 1/2" rigid foam under each unit to avoid a pressure point. Marc John B wrote: http://www.activepartners.com/regina....php?p=266#266 for the forum I posted it on. http://www.activepartners.com/regina.../501/5sump.gif for just the plans. Let me know if you see any flaws, or possibilites. I'm assuming it's alright to make a refuge out of the tank on the left.. John "John B" wrote in message ... ok, i've reasoned with myself why arcrlic is better than glass, but I need help with pvc pipe vs pvc hose...I'm guessing pipe has longer life? and easier to put ball valves and stuff on it? I dunno, I'm getting ideas flying by me about sumps but the basic layout will be easy, but just got complicated on where I'm going to put my refuge...my sump is going to have to be a 2 piecer because I'm afraid of taking out the style..my stand will probably collapse.. anyways, my sump will be like the one on marc's 29g but split in 2 because my stand doesn't permit it being a 1 piecer.. can someone let me know about the pvc hose vs pipe. ![]() thanks, John. -- Personal Page: http://www.sparklingfloorservice.com/oanda/index.html Business Page: http://www.sparklingfloorservice.com Marine Hobbyist: http://www.melevsreef.com |
