Default Sources of live sand...

Anybody could advise in choosing good source of live sand for DSB ?

I am not talking about the wet sand available in LFS.
I am talking about live sand shipped directly from the ocean.

What would be a good place to buy sand rich in variety of critters?

Unless you go and collect it yourself, odds are that the vast majority
of stuff in the shipped sand would survive, its not quite like
liverock. The majority of good stuff actaully comes form live rock,
and it doe snot take long for a sand bed to get established with
goodies from liverock. I have heard lots of stories of buying so
called packaged copepods and other such critters and most are
negative....

Shipping live sand dry/moist/wet should still retain some beneficial
bacteria, but other than that and perhaps some other odds and ends its
not really worth the costs involved as compared to using good live
rock.

Your best source would be an LSF.
Many will sell you sand out of their established
display tanks or established stocking tanks..
Many dump sand into their live rock holding tanks
just for this purpose.
