Default Getting Rid of Ich

It was only the Tang that had Ich and its a bit odd that i only did those 3
things and the Ich suddenly dissapeared. What else would have eradicated it?

Ich is a parasite that goes through an odd lifecycle. The adults will spend
several days on the fish. They then drop off into the substrate, lay eggs, and
die. When the eggs hatch, they become free-swimming critters, just barely
visible as wiggling dots in the water. They attach themselves to fish as they
encounter them and repeat the cycle. The whole thing takes about 10 days.

You're probably seeing the period in which the adults are laying eggs. You can
expect another occurrence within a week. This time, more of the fish will
probably get it.

I would keep the SG down to 1.023; 1.026 is too high and will dehydrate your
fish. I would also keep the UV on all the time (I do on my tank). This won't
eradicate ich, but it will kill any of the parasites that pass through the unit
while in the free-swimming stage, so it does slow down the spread.
