my 180g has only 20kk lighting and I really like it. others think its to
blue but its personal preference. the corals do really stand out under it much better then the 10kk's. like Marc said the pic taking can be tricky but a little tweaking with the white balance will solve that problem. kc "Richard Ryerson" wrote in message ... Just paid 125 bucks (plus 20 shipping) for a 250W 10K MH retro kit. Comes with a 18" batwing reflector, socket, 10K bulb, 10 foot ballast to bulb cord, 3.5 foot ballast to wall cord and a magnetic ballast in a steel case. This is going over my 46 gallon bow front lagoon. The question here is; Do you think buying a 20K bulb is worth all the hype? I am putting some really colorful clams in it soon along with some gorgeous blue and pink zoo... I want the colors to really "pop" and to get a good shimmer. -Rick |
