If that is the same (regular 2.99/50#) sand I used from Home Depot it
has little black flecks in it (not the southdown or oldCastle). If you
run your magnet cleaner though it and nothing happens your prob ok, if
the magnet comes away with stuff stuck to it that is obviously metals,
NOT good in a reef tank. I chucked all mine away when I switched to
salt water, better safe than sorry. HTH
