Default Advice: Bubble Tip Anenome

Hi:

Sounds like you already took action. I just turn off the powerhead or what
ever it is caught in, and the anenome usually figures a way out within a
day. This has occurred on numerous occasions for me with anenomes.

I don't know about you, but I would want my finger cut off,

I have had this happen to one of my bubble tips, It did tear, but seemed

to
do well afterwards. As for dividing into two this is normal and will

happen
if conditions are right without the aid of a powerhead. They will not

attack
each other, i.e go looking for one another and fight, they should exist

OK.

Good luck

Two days ago I noticed my bubble tip had a small section of it caught in

one
of my powerhead filters, this filter had a green sponge in it to stop

any
chance of this happening, but it somehow managed to get a small section
between the join of the sponge a bit of it went inside and was seriously
tangled in the bio balls.

After trying for an hour to untangle it I saw that it was pointless, so

I
had to make a choice to either cut it off or tear it off. Well assuming

that
a cut would be as bad for it as a cut would be for us i decided to tear

it
off (If we had a finger torn off it would stop bleeding very fast, if it
were cut off it would bleed for a very long time), anyhow, it didn't

seem
to
affect it and 2 days later it divided and now I have two in the tank.

I am not sure which half has the mouth but for the other half without

the
mouth, how long will it take to grow one ?

Both halves seem ok and are moving around the tank faster then it did

when
it was only one. I can't tell which has the mouth so I won't try feeding

it
anything untill I find out.

Also if they bump into eachother will they attack eachother ?
