That looks nice. My overflow's syphon is a squarish smoked acrylic
tube that I need to suck the air from every couple of weeks. I'd been
thinking about replacing it with a clear plastic tube like the one
shown. Does air accumulate in these as well?

I've also thought about using two tubes. That way, I can pull and
clean one without having to shut down the pump.




It is a nice overflow, it works great and once the air is sucked out of
the tube
it doesn't re-enter. It's baffled on either side so the ends are always
buried in water.
I can shut it down and it starts back up every time. I thought the 2
tubes would be nice
for redundancy. Clean it or if something gets stuck in one. maybe
someday.
Continuous Siphon Overflow I believe are the ones that have the air and
restart problems.

Mine has been running for a few months now and it looks cleans as the
day I got it.
