Default ich or something else ?

My blue tang has been in my tank now for around 2 weeks ... about 1
week ago i thought he developed ich (being some almost microscopic
white particles on his belly).. They are now gone with no trace.
(basically lasted about 3 days) ...

Would this have been ich or something else?

Yes, this white dots are parasite micro-animals stuck to the skin.
For a big and strong fish like blue tang it is usually not a big deal
and it can heal on its own. You can add a cleaner shrimp to help
clean the fish from parasites just in case it catch it in the future.
It is also very interesting to watch shrimp picking up bugs from fish skin.
