When my tomato clown had ich, I raised the water temp to 85deg f and the
white spots cleared in 4 days. The higher temp speeds up the lifecycle of the parasite I read somewhere. hth. Fernan "Rick" wrote in message om... I have a Fish Only-Live Rock 120 gal aquarium which only one of my tangs show signs of white spots. 3 weeks ago I started to lower the Salinity to 1.009. After carfully lowering the salinity to 1.009 so that there was no shock to the fish, I got it lowered to 1.009. Now that the salinity has been lowered for two weeks it looked as if the ich problem was on the road to recovery, untill today I noticed even more white spots. Has anyone ever used this treatment? I know it should take 6-8 weeks but why all of a sudden another out break? I thought I was on the right road to this type of treatment. What can I expect next? What may have happened? Rick |
