Replies would be appreciated.

IMO, both of your tanks are fully stocked and you risk the health of
what is probably a beautiful black ghost by adding new fish.

Leave well enough alone.

That's kind of what I thought. Which brings me to another idea. I've
been thinking of getting a 75 or 90 gal tank and then putting the black
ghost and pl*co in that with four Angels.

Even this idea gives me some concern. I have room for two decent sized
hiding places in the 38 gal. The ghost and the pl*co are both
territorial and fight over the best hiding place. The "peaceful" ghost
always wins those fights. Fortunately, they haven't seemed to hurt
each other.

I'm hoping that with a larger aquarium and a few more hiding places
everyone could just get along. On the other hand it might turn into a
gang fight with the addition of the Angels once they mature.

I've had aquariums on and off for years. But, this is the first time
I've had what I consider large fish...mainly because I've gotten better
at keeping them and they've had a chance to get large. Both the pl*co
and the ghost started out at about 2-3" in a 20 gal. Fish behaviour
really changes as they mature!
