What i wanted to do was feed one set Atisons betta starter alone to see if its as good as they say but o-well it did not work out that way, i yanked a plant from one of my tanks and since it was there for some time i noticed with the magnifine glass that there was infusoria in the water which they were trying to get, so even if i only fed them the atisons they would still be getting infusoria so it would not matter. nik |

And needless to say the more plants the more infusoria. My newly hatched koi are getting mashed egg yolk mixed with Tetra's egg-layer formula. I also pour infusoria into the 150g pools they're in as "green water." The green water is made from garden soil, fertilizer and plant debris in separate tubs. There are also a lot of live pond plants in their pools. I'm sure if you can have this thick dark green water available it would also help. Sunny windowsills work well. That's what I used in NYC in the winter. Baby bettas thrived on it and the cost is nil. -- Koi-Lo.... Aquariums since 1952.
