![]() snip Hannibal is an excellent name. Interesting colour pattern. Same on both sides? Yeah...It's like I said before...a bittersweet turn of fate. The lady that brought him over thought it was a 'goldfish'. Well, yeah..it's a goldfish, alright!! I like the oscars, they just weren't in the formula I laid out for this tank's design. Truth be known..I'm seriously bummed about having to sweat the issues of who stays and who goes. I'm too old for this. My neighbor came over when I called him about the adoption..he fell to the floor with envy. It truely is a stout speciman...and his colours are like a rembrandt impression. My neighbor can't take him off my hands..he runs a 55 gal com tank chunk full of fish...countless live-bearers..a pair of breeding silver angels...mollies..guppies...swords..bettas...shark s..cories..tetras...all in one tank...I call it the viagra commune tank. He is totally reckless with its maintenance...He just wants to look at fish..not interested in the husbandry end of fish-keeping. But..he did manage to have a pair of angels spawn in there...go figure? What are the odds that this lone oscar will get along with the other tankmates?...too broad a question. I call this the grand accident experiment. Take care......-ED Still playing with 2 newsreaders, eh? ;~) I think if you research the Red Oscar, this is what you might have, so the sides might darken to a deeper orange. An Oscar is quite a bit more commitment than you were probably planning, seeing as how they are so long lived and personable. Sometimes my tank stocking strategies go according to fate too. You can only plan so much ;~). -- www.NetMax.tk |

You can only plan so much ;~). You got that right!...Strange Fate..Stranger Fortune. The Outlook (express) has features that I like, and better features that are absent. I like its janitorial ease of use. I'm trying to gain ground with Thunderbird since my spam is on the rise now. And Opera's really nice, save the fact that I haven't found the lower limit of headers I want downloaded from the server. I've been looking at the Red's data here and there...but Net, this thing has the color of old gold on a canvas...dingy isn't the word...just ...hell...I'll get a camera one of these days. It's 10:21 CST here, still have all the inmates :-\ ... I won't mind him...I'm just forced into a position of getting him a proper home built...money's the issue in my domain. I could always go pick up a small tank for the danios...sure would be easier on the wallet..I've got around $500.00 in this tank as it stands now...I'm back on bologna and crackers..but boy, DO I HAVE A TANK...way. way easy on the eye. I've thought about putting a skirt on it and taking out to dinner. |
