all the pieces just slide together and it comes completely apart for storage until needed and hangs on my garage wall - I haven't been in my pond for 9 yrs (not counting the time I fell in - another story :~(((( LOL. You're not really ponding unless you fall in occasionally :-) -- derek ONCE was more than enough - my wife was in the house and was hysterical when she came out and still reminds me about it once in a while
