The FLO rotating water flow creates a natural and pleasant wave effect which is beneficial to live plants and reef inhabitants and leads to increased oxygenation. Adaptors are included which allow the FLO rotating water deflector to be used with most aquarium filter and water pump applications. For freshwater or marine aquariums. Ideal for use with canister filters and powerheads. For use with devices with flow rates of 80-310 gph. Other than restricting the flow of water, they work very well in small tanks. I have used 2 of them in a 5 gallon nano that I had setup with 2 maxijet 1200's, with the restriction in flow and the small tank, it actually ended up being pretty good flow. Now you will have to keep them clean. I had to take them apart about once a month to clean them up and keep them working. Two MaxiJet 1200s in a *five* gallon tank? Wow, they really must restrict flow. So much for using them in my 55 gallon tank. |
