![]() "JeffinMS" wrote in message ... Ill be going out of town for a week. I want to leave the fish the best possible way to feed. The store reccomends those 7 day feeders but I have read on here at various times that those are actually bad and sometimes even kill the fish. Ill be going out tomorow to get what I need. Any reccomendations? Jeff, I've also heard bad things about the white blocks you drop in the tank. I know they are made of calcium, so if you're concerned about water hardness as I am with tetras, they are not an option. I think most fish will survive just fine for 1 week with no food. I have an automatic feeder that I always use. Picked it up for about $20 and works well feeding twice per day an amount of flake food that you set. There are other more expensive models that are programable and have multiple compartments for feeding different types of food at different times. John |
