Default Yabbies/Crayfish Escaping from Environment

A warning to all members who own yabbies/crayfish: if you have an open
environment, such as a large bowl or aquarium tea-table, they do wander
out. One of my yabbies walked down the hall and fell down a couple of
flights of steep stairs (he lived...for a while), and another in my
current abode, wandered into the laundry and got covered in paint (he
didn't make it).

Ever heard of lids?
In a pinch aliminium foil will work, just don't let it touch da water.
