Default 70 gal set up

I have a 70 gal tank with a metal stand the tank has a floating bottom black
frame....should I put wood or styrofoam between the tank and stand or can I
simply put the tank directly on the stand?

TIA

You can put it directly on the stand.

One problem with iron stands, is that the salt is hard on
them.
